Measure the
"learning IQ" of your teams with the Team Learning Survey,
an assessment tool that identifies the conditions that help or
hinder group learning - within the team and the organization.
Survey scores,
tallied in 5 key areas, give teams an overall picture of their
group-learning strengths and weaknesses:
- Team learning
outcomes
- Organizational
learning contributions
- Team learning
processes
- Team learning
conditions
- Organizational
learning conditions
With the help of
discussion questions, teams then develop strategies for overcoming
group and organizational learning obstacles.

Help your participants to become
more efficient and focused learners with the Learning Styles
Questionnaire (LSQ), which identifies a preference for one of 4
learning styles: activist (open-minded, enthusiastic), reflector
(cautious, observant), theorist (logical, analytical), or pragmatist
(down-to-earth problem solver).
Have you ever wondered why some people in your training sessions learn
more than others? It may have something to do with your
participants’ personal learning styles, or the way in which they
approach and absorb new experiences. Use the LSQ to help your
participants to become more efficient and focused learners. This
instrument and companion workbook will:
- Balance the learning styles of
groups.
- Help trainers identify the dominant
learning style of program attendees.
- Surface team-learning difficulties.
- Help managers understand and
motivate their employees.
- Discuss the learning process.
- Help participants expand their
learning style range.
Capitalizing on Your Learning Style,
the companion workbook to the LSQ, includes activities and
interpretive information on making the best use of learning-style
strengths and exploring the benefits of other styles. The workbook
also includes tips on choosing learning experiences that dovetail with
personal style.
The extensive Facilitator Guide includes theoretical background,
additional learning activities for participants and facilitators,
sample training designs, updated normative information, transparency
masters, and more.
The Learning Styles Questionnaire and Capitalizing on Your Learning
Style have been written as a result of the work the authors have
carried out over a number of years. It is a common experience that if
two people with the same needs are given the same learning activity,
one will learn a lot, the other a little. We think that everyone can
learn more effectively when they understand how to use their learning
strengths.
Capitalizing on Your Learning Style has been written for the learner,
irrespective of rank, function, or age. It is assumed that the LSQ has
been completed and scored prior to using Capitalizing on Your Learning
Style. Information in this booklet will help you to make sense of LSQ
results, show you how to select activities that suit your style, and
suggest ways to strengthen a style that is currently underdeveloped.

What's My Learning Style?
Learning Style, an underlying principle of adult learning, is the different ways individuals take in and process learning. Learning styles evolve when an individual approaches learning in a similar manner every time he or she learns something new.
Understanding your learning style can help you approach all types of learning experiences in a way that feels comfortable. It also allows you to adapt learning that is presented to you so that it more closely resembles your preferred style. What’s My Learning Style? helps participants identify their preferred learning styles so they can continue to strengthen
these styles as well as become more proficient at using their least preferred styles.
What’s My Learning Style? Learning Outcomes:
- Identify learning style preferences
- Recognize the strengths and weaknesses of each learning style
- Understand the importance of using variety of learning styles
- Develop a plan of action to increase skill in less preferred styles
What’s My Learning Style? consists of:
Participant Guide: 20-item assessment with pressure-sensitive scoring, interpretive information, and action planning questions. Order one guide per participant.
Facilitator Guide: Introduction, learning styles background, administering and scoring instructions, Experiential Learning Methodology overview, sample training design, technical development, and downloading instructions for a Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation. Order one guide per facilitator. |
